James Creek Vineyards

James Creek is our 10-acre home vineyard in Sonoma.  The site rests on a plateau in the hills to the west of town, near the famed Durrell vineyard.  Due to its positioning on the west and southern end of the Valley, this is typically the last Chardonnay to come off the vine in Sonoma.  The cooling breezes and maritime influence of the San Francisco Bay tend toward lower brix and prominent acidity, while the long hang time ensure a complex flavor profile.  The vineyard was originally planted in 1982, and is entirely Wente clone.
