Gambogi Vineyard

The 10-acre Gambogi Vineyard was planted by Annchise Gambogi circa 1906 and is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley basin, off Piner Road near Olivet Lane. This area was popular for settlement by Italian immigrant families in the early 1900s. Gambogi is now part of the Beliz vineyard. It features volcanic, calcium-rich soil, and the head-pruned vines are farmed without trellising and irrigation. The vines produce intensely flavorful fruit from very low yields.

Gambogi Vineyard produces fruit with dark, deep garnet color and classic brambly aromas. The wines characteristically show flavors of raspberry, chocolate and spice; big, firm structure accentuates vibrant fruit and oak. Elegant with layers of complexity, firm tannins and a long finish.
